"I figure I've tuned over 25,000 pianos in my life, and I've definitely become sensitized to the process. The stability of my tuning depends on setting the pin properly, and to do that I've spent 35 years developing pin sensitivity in my body. Finally, finally, Charles Faulk has made a tuning lever that frees me to use all of that experience. The Faulk carbon fiber/aluminum lever allows a level of pin perception and "micro" movement that is truly extraordinary, leading to more fun and less work, more "in-the-zone" moments and far less frustration. It's the best tuning lever I've ever used by two or three orders of magnitude."

After much prompting from many of you, I now have 5 degree tuning heads on a selection of tuning hammers. To help with clearance over the struts and capo bars, they also come with an extended length adapter that adds .80" to the overall tip reach. Now you can have a choice of angles. Thanks for your encouragement!
The CF-A line of tuning hammers combines the beauty and strength of aluminum tubing with a core of carbon fiber. This pairing of materials offers high rigidity with less weight. In fact, the addition adds only .7 ounces more weight to the tuning lever over the weight of the regular CF tuning hammer.
The featured tuning hammer on this page is my new CF-T (carbon fiber/titanium) lever that is even lighter than the CF-A levers. Please read the description on the page. I hope to introduce more at upcoming conferences.
The CF-A2 tuning hammer is an even lighter version of the CF-A. It consists of a 5/8" aluminum tube with an inner core of carbon fiber tubing. Although not quite as rigid as the CF-A, it still is more than sufficient to tune any piano.
Both are made with high strength 2024 aluminum alloy tubing.
The metal exterior gives you the sheen and durability you expect in a lifetime investment. Whether your choice is high rigidity or lightness, the CF-A levers are here!
